Closing soon: Make the most of Global Village Dubai before Season 30 ends
Visitors urged to plan trips before summer shutdown
DUBAI – Much like brunches and skyline rooftop venues, Global Village Dubai has become a defining part of the city’s seasonal calendar. The multicultural attraction, known for its vibrant mix of shopping, food and live entertainment, is now entering its final stretch of Season 30.
With only a limited number of weeks remaining, visitors are being encouraged to make the most of the experience before the annual summer closure.
The destination is set to close on Sunday, May 10, marking the end of its milestone 30th season. Operating hours continue daily from 4pm, closing at midnight from Sunday to Wednesday and extending to 1am from Thursday to Saturday.
Plan ahead
Timing plays a key role in making the most of a visit. Tuesdays remain reserved exclusively for ladies, families and couples, offering a more relaxed environment for exploration. Early evening arrivals allow visitors to navigate the expansive site comfortably before peak crowds arrive later in the night.
A standard entry ticket, priced from Dh25, grants access to the entire park, including cultural zones, the Road of Asia and the Emirati heritage area.
Explore pavilions
Season 30 features more than 30 pavilions representing over 90 cultures, making it one of the most diverse editions to date. Visitors can move between regions in a single evening, browsing traditional garments, handcrafted décor and speciality goods.
Shopping remains a central attraction, with more than 3,500 retail outlets spread across the venue. Popular stops include Middle Eastern pavilions for fashion and perfumes, Asian zones for accessories, and North African sections for artisanal home pieces.
Bargaining continues to be a defining feature of the experience, particularly in pavilions known for textiles, jewellery and handmade goods.
Food trails
Food remains one of the biggest draws, with over 250 dining options available. From street-style snacks to regional delicacies, the offerings span continents.
Visitors can sample dates, honey and oils from Middle Eastern stalls, explore spice-rich dishes from South Asia, or enjoy freshly prepared international street food at the Floating Market. The variety allows for curated “food trails” across different regions within a single visit.
Entertainment picks
Beyond shopping and dining, the venue hosts more than 40,000 live performances throughout the season. These include cultural shows, concerts and roaming acts that take place across multiple stages.
For families, the attraction also features over 200 rides and games, adding to its appeal as a full evening destination.
Since its launch in 1997, the attraction has welcomed more than 100 million visitors, with Season 29 alone recording a footfall of 10.5 million. As Season 30 approaches its final days, the coming weeks present one of the last opportunities to experience its full scale before the summer break.
